Europe Snacks wanted to improve its transport organization and performance. The manufacturer has entrusted Interlog Logistic to manage its distribution transport.
At Europe snacks transportation accounted for 50% of “On Time Delivery performance”. The project led by Interlog Logistic had three steps. In January 2016, the contractor took over the management of transport using Europe Snacks ERP system. Between July and December of the same year, a call for tender was launched. Then, the new transport plan, using the Click & Track collaborative TMS, was introduced in February 2017. The Interlog Transport Control Tower (TCT) manages the daily organization of industrial shipments. Thanks to their own TMS, Interlog provides to Europe Snacks a visibility of all their shipments in real time (operations tracking, reporting, pre-invoicing, claims management).
Sébastien Mare, Europe Snacks Supply Chain Manager: “We aim to improve by 50% in 2017, and again in 2018. This delivery performance allows us to achieve a very high customer service rate.”
The mission entrusted to Interlog also allowed Europe Snacks to allocate internal resources to create a new role in the Supply Chain organization in order to improve its internal processes. In the coming months, the manufacturer will start a new project which aim is to pooling with other food industrial partners; thanks to the contract signed with FM LOGISTIC in the building of a new logistics platform, ideally situated for Europe Snacks.
